The Department of Water, Atmosphere and Environment, Institute of Sanitary Engineering and Water Pollution Control at BOKU University is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate.

The position includes participation in the research and teaching of the institute, as well as the independent acquisition and implementation of research projects with a focus on water chemistry as well as collaboration in the university administration and participation in national and international expert committees. The position acts as the head of the chemical lab at the Institute.

**Requirements**:

- Doctoral degree/PhD
- Diploma degree in Chemistry or other equivalent university degree
- Extensive knowledge and professional experience in water chemistry, especially in the areas of analysis of trace substances
- Experience in quality assurance in chemical laboratories (desirable: accreditation, certification)
- Experience in acquisition, management / project management and processing of research projects
- National and international lecturing and publishing activities
- Adequate German language skills for leading of the chemical lab, executing national projects and teaching; excellent knowledge of English
- Readiness for habilitation is desired

Desired skills and qualifications
- Experience in independent teaching with focus on water chemistry in German and English language
- Water chemistry experience in the field of NTA and impact-based methods
- Knowledge and networking in the sector of Austrian residential water management
- Teamwork, organizational and leadership skills

Gross monthly salary and pay grade in terms of collective agreement for university staff (payable 14 times per year): B1 lit. b, € 4.061,50
