Global money transfer business requires a Head of Retail Risk Management to join the risk and fraud team in their offices in Vienna.

The position will be responsible for the implementation of effective risk management framework for identification, assessment, management and monitoring of risks arising from existing and future consumer banking product offerings.

To partner with first line of defence, and give direction to, colleagues in the regional operational to ensure that effective processes are in place to design, manage, monitor and respond to risk issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Shape the consumer banking risk strategy and risk appetite and its implementation through adequate set of risk limits and targets
- Drive creation of effective risk management framework for identification, assessment, management and monitoring of risks arising from existing and future commercial banking product offerings
- Contribute to the development of the effective fraud monitoring framework and execute effective oversight for outsourced elements. Understanding of fraud engine scoring and rules, leverage on specific actual and potential fraud patterns to continuously evolve fraud detection and prevention capabilities, drive enhancements to continuously increase consumer and fraud protection
- Define and execute adequate scenario analysis and stress tests and ensure they are considered in definition of plans for continuous operational resilience

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Retail / Consumer Risk Management in a banking or financial services environment; experience in digital banking is strongly desirable
- A university degree in Finance or Business (or equivalent) or relevant professional qualifications
- Fluency in English (oral and in writing); fluency in German is is strongly desirable but not condition

- Profound knowledge of retail/consumer banking products (account, cards, lending, deposits)
- Good knowledge of retail banking operations, functions and processes
- Calm in communication with colleagues, customers and peers
- Analytical thinking, ability to select the most important facts and drive conclusion out of it
- Persistent in problem solving, focused on problem solutions and not problems itself
