**About the role**:
As Senior Manufacturing Scientist, you are part of the local Process Science - MSV (Manufacturing Sciences Vienna) team, responsible for controlling of the process stability and evaluation of product quality. You ensure the robustness of current manufacturing processes and enable the implementation of new manufacturing technologies and processes in the area of formulation, filling and finishing. In both day-to-day tasks and project participations you are in close contact with the site’s manufacturing/quality organizations and global stakeholders to facilitate data-based decision making.

**How you will contribute**:

- Monitoring, controlling, and improvement of formulation / filling / finishing manufacturing processes
- Support of process improvement and robustness initiatives
- Lead or assist in deviation, complaint and failure investigations, product impact investigation, and root-cause analysis
- Evaluation of changes concerning manufacturing processes, analytical testing, and materials
- Project support regarding formulation / filling / finishing process implementation or change
- Product related review and approval of manufacturing and validation documents
- Support of authority submission teams and responses to authority requests with process expertise and data analyses
- Quality by Design, development of control strategy, PFMEA updates
- Representation at internal and external authority audits
- Evaluation of suitability of new technologies
- Best-practice sharing
- Lab work is NOT expected

**What you bring to Takeda**:

- University degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biostatistics, Biology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Technology, Process engineering or similar qualification
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in German and English, including experience in presenting complex topics in front of multidisciplinary audiences
- Experience in technical problem solving, data analysis and statistics
- Ability to take the initiative and work independently while developing and maintaining strong communication with the stakeholders
- Effective team player including the capability to lead project sub-teams in the area of expertise
- Innovation mindset and commitment to speak up culture
- Knowledge and expertise in formulation / filling / finishing processes preferred
- Solid working knowledge of current GMP and ICH guidelines would be an advantage
- Green Belt certification or equivalent preferred
