As a valued member of our Privacy and Data Governance team, you will be responsible for providing legal counsel and direction in the areas of privacy and data protection for strategic and global initiatives and for all Western Union business units and shared services, with a particular focus on the relevant laws in Europe and Africa.
For you to be successful in this role, you will have 3-5+ years of data protection and privacy-related, practical legal experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, NGO, or data protection authority. Experience in financial services and/or payments industries preferred, though not required. Law degree (ideally from a university in Austria or Germany) required and Austrian or German bar exam an advantage. **Fluency in both German and English required**. Excellent written and oral communication skills are critical.

We are under legal obligation to indicate the minimum salary, which is EUR 78,409.50 per year for this position. However, our attractive compensation packages follow current market salaries and can therefore be significantly above the indicated minimum salary.
