We design, build and operate traffic management systems including connected vehicles technology and mobility demand management as well as tolling services for cities, roads, tunnels and bridges around the world. We develop data and video analytics platforms, building on state-of-the-art technologies including AI, machine learning, big data and cloud services to enable the digitalization of mobility.- The Global Category Manager will define and execute the global category strategy based on the best outcome for the Kapsch group.**Responsibilities**:

- Identify opportunities and suppliers that can provide materials and services
- Provide guidelines and consultancy for execution of category strategy to operational procurement
- Work with key stakeholders, to clearly identify main requirements for both the category and respective products/project needs
- Negotiate supply contracts with identified suppliers and develop supplier agreements
- Develop and execute specified category strategy as per global mandate
- Develop, manage and enhance supplier relationships in order to ensure optimal category supply base to meet current and future market and technology requirements
- Collaborate with and support R&D and Product Management & Development in projects, Product Life Cycle management activities and savings initiatives
- Support bid teams with procurement expertise and securing lowest available cost to delivery projects and participate in bids
- Ensure Category specific market data / market intelligence availability
- Monitor and understand key economic/category-specific cost drivers and supply market trends
- Responsible for regular performance reporting against strategies and goals
- Create and maintain regular reports on savings, sourcing, market trends in collaboration with SCM Excellence & Controlling

**Your Profile**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and 5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain and Logistics and Procurement and specifically within Category Management, or 10+ years of relevant work experience in Category Management or Strategic Sourcing at global level in lieu of education
- Well-developed knowledge of Category management and Strategic Sourcing processes, procedures, practices & techniques in developing and executing category strategies
- Proven sourcing and procurement technical skills related to electrical sub-components related to the manufacturing of electronic based products
- Proven track record of exceptional savings performance
- Strong commercial skills and business acumen
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills
