At KAI (Kompetenzzentrum Automobil
- und Industrieelektronik GmbH), you will perform your thesis project in an industrial research environment, guided and supported by experienced researchers. We work in close cooperation with universities and research facilities supporting your academic education, whereas our industrial partner Infineon offers interesting opportunities for a prospective career path in the semiconductor industry.

In your new role, you are part of the international engineering team at our site in Villach. During your thesis project, we expect you to become a growing expert for measurement concepts and techniques, with a strong focus on GaN power transistor characterization. In this position you will:

- Learn about types and characteristics of **next generation power semiconductors **, especially Infineon products and technologies
- Improve your **skills **in **measurements **within **power electronic circuits**:

- **Develop **a **concept **of a **source current measurement **together with your supervisor
- Create and evaluate a working **SPICE model **of the measurement concept
- Design, build, and evaluate a working **hardware prototype **of the **measurement concept **in an industrial laboratory environment
- Document your results by writing and submitting your Master thesis

You have strong analytical skill, can collaborate within a diverse international team, and have strong communication skills. You are best equipped for this task, if you:

- Have a bachelor’s degree and most of your master courses finished in **Electrical **Engineering **(or similar degree)
- Are able to read and understand **electronic **schematic **and **layout **documents**:

- Have a great interest in and prior know-how in the theory and implementation of **analog **measurement **circuits **, preferable you are attending related master’s course(s)
- Have prior experience with **power **electronics**:

- Know how to simulate an **electronic **circuit**:

- Are **self-motivated **and ready to work with a flexible time schedule that suits your curriculum as well as our project requirements
- Speak good **English **and possibly German
- CV

- Certificate of matriculation at a university (you must be enrolled and not on academic leave)
- Latest Transcript of records (not older than 6 months)
- Highest completed educational certificate (Matura certificate for Bachelor students, Bachelor certificate for Master students)
