Your contribution will be:

  • Designing, conducting, and/or mentoring scientific projects and research (including literature research, data analysis and statistical interpretation )
  • work directly focused on animal welfare science, as well as on understanding human behaviour and attitudes towards animals.
  • Supervision of students and interns
  • Evaluating trends and developments in relevant Animal Welfare topics with Focus on Wild Animals topics
  • Creating, advising on and contributing robustly referenced and data-driven insights (e.g. Reports) and advising/conducting science communication
  • Consulting and advising investigations and public opinion polling based on their strategical relevance
  • Producing relevant documentation for strategic planning, reporting and evaluation

Your profile ideally illustrates:

  • Master's degree or PhD of the following or related disciplines: Wildlife Biology, Animal Welfare Science, Psychology, Sociology
  • experience in wildlife behaviour research
  • Understanding of social science approaches
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistics
  • Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences
  • Passion for animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and mission
