We are seeking a dynamic and experienced State Manager to oversee the operations of multiple early childhood education centres in Melbourne. This pivotal leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the future of early learning by driving operational excellence, supporting our Area Managers, and fostering high-performing teams. Key Duties Provide strategic leadership and guidance to Area and Centre Managers, ensuring alignment with organisational standards and goals. Monitor and enhance centre performance across financials, occupancy, team engagement, family satisfaction, and quality of care. Develop and execute strategies to meet and exceed enrolment targets, revenue goals, and operational efficiencies. Cultivate a positive and growth-focused team culture, promoting professional development and retention. Collaborate with internal departments such as HR, Compliance, and Facilities to support continuous improvement. Ensure all centres meet licensing, regulatory, and safety requirements. Conduct regular site visits to assess program quality, facility standards, and operational effectiveness. Act as the key liaison between centres and the support office, providing insights and recommendations. About You 5+ years of multi-site management experience (e.g., Area Manager or similar). Experience leading Area Managers (preferred). Proven success in business improvement and operational efficiency. Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking. Inspirational leadership style with a focus on coaching and team development. Understanding of the National Quality Framework and state regulations (preferred). Experience with business acquisitions (a plus). Skills & Attributes Deep knowledge of the early childhood sector. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
