Category Manager – Merchandise Location: Gold CoastWork Type: Full-time Chempro Chemists is expanding and strengthening our merchandise team. We are seeking experienced and motivated Category Manager to lead key portfolio areas across our network. The Opportunity We have multiple Category Manager positions available across several categories including Beauty, Baby Care, Suncare, Therapeutic Skincare and more. These roles offer the chance to take full ownership of your categories shaping strategy, driving performance, and collaborating closely with internal teams and supplier partners. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our stores are well supported with competitive ranging, strong promotional execution, engaging catalogue creation, and sustainable category reviews & planogram execution. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business objectives. Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and joint business planning. Build and implement planograms, promotional plans, pricing strategies, and catalogue design briefs. Analyse sales performance to identify opportunities and recommend improvements. Ensure alignment between merchandise, marketing, operations, and our very own Chempro Warehouse. Maintain a forward thinking approach to category trends, customer behaviour, and market changes. About You Proven experience in category management & or catalogue & promotion roles. Can work alongside a team and has excellent communication skills. Confident negotiator with excellent relationship building skills. Effective communicator who can bring teams together. Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and initiative. Experience within retail or pharmacy is advantageous, but not essential. Be part of a business that is continually refining and elevating its commercial strategy.
