Overview of the Role Work in a recovery‑led program supporting participants experiencing mental health challenges in a short‑term residential setting. Permanent part‑time opportunity (equiv. 4 nights per fortnight). Salary: $38.65 – $41.45 per hour (SCHADS Level 3) + penalty rates, superannuation, annual leave loading, NFP salary packaging benefits. About the Opportunity This is a rewarding opportunity to support participants engaged in the service and build professional, trusting relationships, empowering them along their journey towards recovery. As a Recovery Worker you will work alongside participants and support them to achieve their own identified goals, and also collaborate with your team to support day‑to‑day operations of the Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) service environment. We are looking for new team members with availability to complete 4 sleepover shifts a fortnight. PARCs operate 24/7 on a rotating roster, and penalty rates apply for afternoon, evening and weekend hours. About the Service Preston Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) is a sub‑acute, home‑like service dedicated to providing practical mental health support in our community. It is a holistic 24/7 program, delivered in partnership with the Area Mental Health Service, offering both clinical and psychosocial support to people who are becoming unwell, or for additional support to strengthen their gains while transitioning from an inpatient setting back home. Our multidisciplinary recovery teams are creative, motivated and focused on ensuring positive experiences for participants and their loved ones. All our recovery services value cultural diversity, support and create opportunities for recovery, value peer participation and leadership, and are underpinned by evidence‑based best practice. To Be Successful in this Role, You Will Need Minimum Certificate IV in Mental Health, AOD or Disability, or a tertiary qualification in social science or a related discipline. Demonstrated experience in the field of mental health and/or disability. An understanding of the biopsychosocial model of mental health and social inclusion principles. Evidence of the right to work in Australia. NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate. Evidence of, or willingness to undergo, a National Police Records Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check. Why Us?
