Disability Support Workers & Skill Development Mentor At Valiant Support, we strive towards a world with a greater understanding and acceptance of neurodiversity. As demand for our services continues to grow, we are expanding our team and seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated Disability Support Workers for meaningful roles with little to no personal care . About the Role We are currently seeking a Disability Support Worker to provide in-home and community-based support to neurodivergent individuals across Central and North Brisbane . Our mission is to empower agency and autonomy. Support duties will include working with participants to identify and overcome barriers in daily living, by building skills in areas like meal preparation, housekeeping and planning and scheduling. Support workers also assist with community access and building skills and confidence in social interactions. Shifts Available Tuesday: 9:00am – 5:00pm (Everton Park) Wednesday: 1:00pm – 4:00pm (Herston) Thursday: 12:30pm – 3:30pm (The Gap) Thursday: 5:30pm – 8:00pm (Hamilton) Friday: 12:00pm – 3:00pm (Albany Creek) Friday: 9:30pm – 11:30pm (Hamilton) Please note – this is a casual position. About You This role is ideal for someone who is organised, reliable, enjoys building meaningful rapport, and is passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals to achieve their goals. We are seeking applicants who: Are fluent in English, with excellent communication and rapport-building skills. Demonstrate adaptability, initiative, and strong problem-solving skills. Have professional or lived experience working with neurodivergent individuals. Bring a growth mindset and a collaborative, goal-focused approach to support. Minimum Requirements Professional or personal experience supporting neurodivergent individuals. Understanding of Neurodiversity and positive values regarding people with disabilities. Current Blue Card or willingness to obtain a Blue Card. Current First Aid and CPR certificate. Open Driver's licence and Comprehensively Insured car . Availability for the shifts listed above.
