SFI Australia is a dynamic and rapidly growing business. Our work takes us to refineries, power stations, natural gas plants, mines and other facilities across Australia. On any site, we may be supporting 500-plus contractors by supplying them from our range of 50,000 tools and 4,000 consumable supplies lines. Shutdowns are conducted under time pressure, and we deliver Zero Downtime. Our customer base consists of Australia’s leading infrastructure operations and maintenance companies as well as SMEs. About the Role Are you a driven, strategic thinker who thrives on building relationships and delivering results? We’re looking for an ambitious, driven Business Development Manager to help fuel our growth in Queensland. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, loves building relationships, and wants to play a key role in shaping the next stage of our growth. What You’ll Do Identify, pursue, and handover new business opportunities across construction & maintenance industry Build strong, trusted relationships with prospective and existing clients Maintain accurate records of client interactions and pipeline activity Proactively source, engage, and convert new leads through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and networking Build and maintain a robust pipeline of quality opportunities across priority sectors Conduct market research to uncover emerging trends, competitor activity, and untapped opportunities Develop tailored pitches, proposals, and solutions that demonstrate clear value to prospects Follow a structured outreach cadence to ensure consistent touchpoints and high conversion rates Host discovery meetings and presentations with potential clients Work closely with the client relations team to refine strategy, positioning, and go‑to‑market plans Track performance metrics and continuously optimise outreach strategies Represent the business at targeted industry events and proactively create networking opportunities What You’ll Bring (Must Haves) Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or Account Manager in QLD mining, construction, or industrial sectors. A client‑centric mindset with a natural ability to build rapport and exceed expectations Strategic thinking and a passion for building lasting relationships Proven experience in proactive business development Strong hunter mentality, you love prospecting and opening doors Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple conversations simultaneously Driven, persistent, and comfortable working towards ambitious targets A strategic thinker who can identify opportunities before others see them Thrives in a fast paced, high‑growth environment and adapts quickly Nice to Have Tertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering, or related fields. Formal training in account management or sales methodology. Experience with CRM systems. Why Join Us?
