The HammondCare Volunteer Program offers a special opportunity to bring joy, connection, and companionship to older people in Daw Park. Whether you love sports, art, gardening, pets, baking, yoga, music, movies, or simply a good chat over coffee, you can share your passions with someone who will truly appreciate them. As a Weekend Volunteer Social Visitor, you’ll spend time one‑on‑one or in small groups with residents in a care home, offering genuine connection and heartfelt moments that brighten their day and yours. Give just a little of your weekend, and make a lasting difference in someone’s life. Volunteer Impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
