To continue to deliver for our community, we are seeking a values-driven, experienced Coordinator to provide strategic and operational leadership to our People & Culture team. Working closely with the Manager People & Performance this role will provide you the opportunity to: Provide leadership to the People & Culture team for the successful delivery of human resources services, drive a respectful, safe and inclusive workplace culture, and the delivery of department goals and outcomes. Project manage the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategic human resource activities in line with applicable legislation (Fair Work Act, Secure Jobs Better Pay Act, Child Safe Standards, etc.), organisational commitments and changes within the sector. Manage organisational risk through the application of strategy and initiatives to attract and retain high quality, skilled and engaged staff. Provide coaching, leadership, and the provision of advice to influence and guide business units in the critical planning and management of organisational change and workforce development. Influence management and leadership on best practice people management. Assist the Manager People & Performance in the preparation and delivery of the department business plan and review, budget submissions, and management of applicable expenditure within approved budgets. Build strong relationships across the organisation to coach and deliver expert leadership and advice to management and staff to influence and guide business units in employee/industrial relations matters including recruitment and selection, the critical planning and management of organisational change and workforce development, performance management and Enterprise Agreements interpretations. Qualifications A tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or a related discipline and/or significant experience at the leadership level, coupled with specialist experience in Human Resources and Employee Relations. Demonstrated ability lead and manage a small team to effectively deliver and achieve business plan objectives on time and within budget. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative human resources policies, procedures, systems and work practices. Ability to manage change initiatives in a large organisational setting. Proven ability to undertake workplace investigations and manage workplace disputes. Demonstrated knowledge of Legislation, Awards, HR policies and HR best practice relevant to contemporary human resources management with a proven ability to provide valued advice and support to management and staff in interpretation and application. Highly developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively to develop good working relationships, gain cooperation from others and resolve problems. Analytical skills and experience in using data to inform wider decision making.
