Medical Administration / Reception – Part Time / Casual (Patient services team) If you are committed to customer care and looking for a work‑life balance, this role might be for you. About the role We have an exciting hybrid opportunity for an enthusiastic and professional. The successful applicant's primary duties will be front reception, therefore a caring approach towards patients is required. The other responsibilities will be admin work and for medicolegal clients. Responsibilities Front reception duties and providing a caring approach to patients. Handle billing and process patient accounts/estimates. Attend to phones for patient enquiries, respond to emails, manage clinic operations, faxing, scanning and book appointments. Follow up on outstanding results. General administrative duties for both medical and medicolegal practice as required. Administrative support to the Practice Manager. Qualifications Medical admin/receptionist experience (candidates with no prior medical practice experience please do not apply). Ability to work both in a team and autonomously. Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word, MS Teams and Excel. Knowledge of specialist medical terminology, procedures and medical billing is desired. Ability to handle a high‑pressure environment and understanding of privacy and confidentiality in a health care setting. Valid working visa or Australian citizenship (no sponsorship programs or student visas accepted). Other details Role is approximately 20 hours per week (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Thursdays preferred). Location: Moonee Ponds; staff may need to work once a week from another location in North Melbourne. Be careful – don’t provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
