Building Maintenance Co‑ordinator Build the future of healthcare—one repair, one team, one precinct at a time. This permanent full‑time position is classified as Health Manager Level 1 with a remuneration range of $87,813 – $116,824 + super and salary packaging. You will work 38 hours per week at John Hunter Hospital, a Level 6 tertiary referral, major trauma, and teaching hospital servicing more than 900,000 people across the Hunter, New England and Lower Mid North Coast regions. As part of the Engineering Services team you will lead a five‑person collaborative unit and supervise a team of nine direct reports, while overseeing external contractors who perform vinyl repairs, painting, signage, locksmithing and other maintenance services. Your responsibilities include: Coordinating and supervising multidisciplinary trade staff Managing the performance and safety of contract trade services Monitoring and maintaining public circulation areas Organizing and approving repairs as required Administering Engineering fleet vehicle running sheets Supporting maintenance activities across the wider hospital precinct Performing additional duties as directed by the Manager of Engineering Services About You Extensive experience in health‑facilities maintenance Completed trade qualification in a building discipline Certificate IV in Frontline Management (or equivalent) Demonstrated experience supervising both internal and contract trade staff Strong organisational and communication skills Additional qualifications or post‑trade training (highly desirable) Benefits Sustainable Healthcare: Together towards zero Paid parental leave (for eligible employees) Salary packaging options – up to $11,600 plus novated leasing Fitness Passport for health and well‑being – discounted gym options for you and your family Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for staff and family members Additional Information: An eligibility list will be created for future permanent or part‑time vacancies.
