We’re currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst (AO5 level) to support a major Queensland Government division on a data-driven reporting program. This is an excellent opportunity for a BA who enjoys working with business intelligence artefacts, stakeholder engagement, and contributing to meaningful operational improvements. About the Role In this position, you will play a key role in analysing business intelligence requirements, developing clear project documentation, and supporting the delivery of reporting and data-focused initiatives. You’ll work closely with a wide range of stakeholders to understand business needs, improve processes, and ensure solutions are effectively implemented. Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed research and analysis of business intelligence artefacts and translate findings into high-quality project documentation. Engage with stakeholders across the business to understand operational needs and future reporting requirements. Provide advice on processes, systems, data, and business solutions to support strategic decision-making. Support user acceptance testing by developing test plans and communicating proposed changes to stakeholders and leadership. Create and maintain process maps, procedures, templates, and change management artefacts. Develop and manage business intelligence artefacts aligned with government project, program, and portfolio frameworks. Contribute to the continual improvement of analysis frameworks, templates, and methodologies. About You To be successful, you will bring: Strong experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within government or large, structured environments. Confidence working with data, reporting, and business intelligence artefacts . Strong documentation skills with the ability to communicate insights clearly and concisely. Proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships across multiple teams. Experience in data storytelling or data analysis (highly desirable).
