Overview Holy Family is an integral part of the faith community of Mt Waverley. Holy Family is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS). MACS is the employer of employees at Holy Family School. We are currently seeking a full-time Year 3 class teacher to commence Monday 6 October 2025 for the remainder of the 2025 school year. There is a possibility of the tenure for this position being extended. Responsibilities Actively participate in Holy Family's Professional Learning Community and work closely with their Professional Learning Team Display a sound understanding of evidence-based Literacy programs and contemporary teaching approaches to Mathematics Demonstrate knowledge about explicit teaching and structured literacy Be open to continue their learning journey as a classroom teacher (novel studies, knowledge-rich curriculum) Monitor and assess learners using data to plan for future success Understand how learners learn and how best to meet their needs Foster a safe and challenging learning environment that truly makes a difference Qualifications / Skills Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification A strong commitment to Catholic education An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues An ability to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters for the needs of all students An eagerness to learn An enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum and use modern technology to support student learning Compliance & Licensing Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration is required; accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is preferred The successful applicant must hold or obtain VIT registration and have Australian Working Rights (visa) evidence Application Procedure Please email your resume and cover letter to Include details (name, email, phone) of 3 referees and an application letter addressing the criteria. #J-18808-Ljbffr
