Year 5/6 Classroom Teacher – Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Location: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Salary: A$90,621.00 – A$116,611.00 Seniority level: Entry level. Employment type: Full-time. Role Description & Criteria Candidates must have an ability to plan, work and learn in a team environment, excellent classroom management skills, and a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and contemporary pedagogies. Demonstrate a commitment to the vision and values of St. Dominic’s Primary School and the Dominican charism. Contribute to staff and level teams in matters of curriculum, pedagogical approaches and professional learning. Maintain records as per NCCD requirements. Undertake professional and faith development to enable authentic participation as a member of a Catholic school community. Foster and support the faith development of students and staff. Assist the Principal and Leadership Team in implementing the School Improvement Plan (SIP) and Annual Action Plan (AAP). Skills / Experience required Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification. Strong commitment to Catholic education. Ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Ability to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters for the needs of all students. Eagerness to learn together with others. Enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum and use modern technology to support student learning. Special Requirements Promote the safety, well‑being, and inclusion of all children; demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children. Maintain a current VIT registration with a current Criminal Record Check. Maintain or work towards Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School. Provide contact details for two referees. Hold or acquire and maintain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration. Candidates must hold a valid visa and/or full Australian Working Rights and provide evidence of this.
