About the role Health Protection NSW works closely with NSW public health units in preventing, reducing, and controlling communicable disease and environmental health risks, and improving health equity in NSW through targeted and long-term programs. HPNSW is made up of the following teams: Business Coordination Communicable Diseases One Health Epidemiology and Data Systems Health Manager Level 2, starting salary from $114,251 - $134,809 plus superannuation, with a 38‑hour work week. What you’ll be doing Ministerial Coordinator for Health Protection NSW, preparing and coordinating timely responses to executive, ministerial, government (public access) and other requests. Broad business support to programs of work across the Business Coordination Unit and Health Protection NSW, including communications, reporting, finances, procurement, meetings and projects. About you We are seeking a motivated and committed individual who can support the work of NSW Health. The Business Coordination Unit in Health Protection NSW is looking for a business officer to join our unit for a maternity leave relief position up to December 2026. Ideally you have knowledge of the public sector and are experienced in managing ministerial correspondence, multiple inboxes, and are organised and flexible to support other programs of work across the Business Coordination Unit and Health Protection NSW. Use your attention to detail, great writing ability, and broad business skills to help support an important and interesting area of NSW Health.
