Job Overview Goldfields Rehabilitation Services Inc. offers the only residential alcohol and other drugs detoxification and rehabilitation service for Goldfields' residents and provides a comprehensive programme and case management service to help clients get their lives back on track, including outreach and transitional housing for graduates of the programme. Our service also has a medically supervised detoxification unit. Position We are currently seeking a full‑time Alcohol and Other Drug Support Worker to join our team as part of the Rehabilitation Services. As a 24x7 service, the roster can include after‑hours and weekend shifts. Essential Qualifications Relevant certificate, qualifications and experience in the alcohol and drug sector Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated crisis intervention skills Experience working with individuals with complex and co‑occurring needs Experience working with families significantly impacted by alcohol and other drug use Demonstrated experience implementing Continuous Quality Improvement systems Experience with substance misuse issues and a clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services Desirable Qualifications Knowledge of community‑based support / outreach practices Understanding of the Aboriginal people and culture of the Goldfields region Current knowledge and commitment to Equal Opportunity in all aspects of employment and service delivery Appointment Prerequisites Successful criminal record screening clearance Successful Working With Children check Equal Opportunity Statement GRSI is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion.
