Responsibilities Ensuring food preparation, cooking and presentation are of a high standard at all times under the direction of the Head Chef Ensure HACCP and OHS compliance and maintain correct food safety procedures Willingness to work in a team environment with an established menu that will have a seasonal rotation Motivated to perform under pressure and have the ability to work in a fast‑paced kitchen Have the passion to produce consistently high‑quality fresh food Experience in a range of different cooking styles and preparation techniques is essential A genuine passion for cooking, self‑motivation and the ability to work unsupervised Must also be available to work a rotating roster, including nights Good knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operations A genuine interest in and knowledge of food and current trends Ensure hygiene standards and food preparation standards are strictly adhered to. Skills, Experience & Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workloads, demonstrate flexibility and achieve outcomes within specified time frames Certificate III in Commercial Cookery with 2 years of previous experience as a Cook in a fast‑paced environment Kitchen Hand (Casual) Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in addition to other cleaning tasks. Ensuring all areas of the kitchen are clean and organised Assisting in the organisation and storage of ingredients, supplies, and equipment. Keeping track of inventory levels and notifying management of items that need to be replenished Assist the chefs with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, peeling fruits, and preparing ingredients for cooking Requirements Strong organisational skills and the ability to thrive in high‑pressure environments Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members Flexibility to work a combination of days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays on a rotating roster No agencies or sponsorship requests please.
