Job Title: Customer Service Officer Fixed Term – 8 December 2025 to 18 January 2027 Part Time – Mondays and Wednesdays (15 hours per week) Location – Mundijong, Western Australia (45 minutes from Perth CBD) Overview Avoid the city chaos and embrace the family‑friendly, country town atmosphere of Mundijong. Use your proven background in customer service to help shape our rapidly growing Shire. Key Accountabilities Maximise first‑time resolutions for customers by providing accurate information or referring enquiries to appropriate officers. Receive customers and visitors to the Shire in a prompt and courteous manner. Answer all incoming telephone calls promptly, courteously and efficiently, enhancing the Shire’s image, even during high volume or demanding situations. Maintain general awareness of the Shire’s operations to provide first‑time resolutions and accurate information to residents and service providers. Qualifications & Experience Sound knowledge of cash receipting – handling cash, cheques, credit cards and operating eftpos. Proven customer service experience with ability to deal with difficult customers in a frontline role. Ability to use multiple data systems, including a contact centre platform; strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook. Problem‑solving and investigative skills with ability to interpret policies, processes and knowledge base.
