Are you a self-motivated, ambitious, and enthusiastic Accounts Payable Officer? Our client is a family-owned and operated 3rd generation Construction company 50 years strong based in Western Suburbs of Melbourne. They have built their reputation on their ability to deliver excellence in their products by developing a streamlined process that delivers quality built homes and commercial properties. We're actively in search of an Accounts Payable Officer to join our client's dynamic finance team. In this capacity, you'll play a support role in ensuring the smooth management of the company's finances. This role offers an outstanding chance for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and seeks to progress in the finance sector. Key Responsibilities: Receipt and data entry for accounts payable. Preparation of payments for accounts payable. Perform Bank Reconciliations Updating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets. Managing Insurance Claims Register as required Maintaining and entering supplier profiles. Archiving and updating the registry to ensure data accuracy and accessibility. Tackling other ad hoc duties as required to support the finance department. Qualifications, Skills & Personal Attributes: Minimum of 2 years of experience with a solid understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes, with salary remuneration commensurate with experience at this level. Professional presentation and a personable approach to teamwork and client interactions. A high level of accountability, responsibility, and trustworthiness. Intermediate proficiency in Excel and Word. Previous experience with Xero software is highly desirable.
