About The Role To support our success, we are seeking an enthusiastic and self‑motivated Senior IT Helpdesk Technician. This dynamic role will be based in our Melbourne office and will work collaboratively with a team of IT specialists across various offices. As a Senior IT Helpdesk Technician, your essential role is to provide technical support to end‑users via various communication channels, ensuring their hardware and software issues are addressed promptly. You will diagnose and resolve problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. Additionally, you will contribute to the setup and configuration of new workstations and mobile devices, keeping the organization's technology up to date. You will also be responsible for installing, upgrading, and maintaining software applications and operating systems, and monitoring the IT ticketing system, prioritising user requests, and ensuring timely resolutions. Collaboration is vital as you work closely with the IT team to escalade and resolve complex issues effectively. Occasionally, you will be required to travel for on‑site support, demonstrating your commitment to providing hands‑on assistance promptly. Responsibilities Provide technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network issues via phone, email or in‑person. Install, configure, and maintain company IT systems, including computers, printers, and communication tools. Support the M365 suite, including Entra, Exchange, SharePoint and Teams. Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings in various systems. Document technical issues and resolutions in the IT ticketing system. Assist in software updates, patches, and system maintenance. Provide training and guidance to staff on IT best practices and troubleshooting steps. Assist with new IT initiatives from design to delivery, including change management. Requirements 3+ years experience as an IT Helpdesk Technician or technical support role Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills Excellent Microsoft environment support experience Experienced with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra Customer‑focused attitude with a dedication to delivering exceptional service Tertiary IT qualifications or industry certifications essential Very strong interpersonal and communication skills – written and verbal Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
