Medical Receptionist

Medical Receptionist (with Clinical Support) We are an ophthalmology practice in Target Centre Warrnambool, that provides a supportive and respectful working environment while we care for our patients, many of whom are elderly. We are looking for an experienced receptionist who is also interested in gaining hands‑on clinical experience, and work closely with the doctor. This role is a regular 2 days per fortnight to start (Friday and following Monday), with opportunity for more days as the clinic expands. What you’ll be doing Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner Scheduling and managing patient appointments Processing payments, handling cash and EFTPOS transactions Assisting with general office duties and administrative tasks Performing basic clinical tests and imaging (full training provided) Assisting the doctor during clinical procedures Providing a high level of customer service at all times Skills you will need Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Be organised, punctual, and take pride in your work Experience in a medical reception role is preferred Familiarity with ZedMed or similar medical software is ideal Interested in hand‑on clinical work and willing to learn The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team What we offer A friendly and supportive team environment On‑the‑job training and skill development Stable working hours and a long‑term career opportunity in healthcare The chance to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives If you’re enthusiastic, people‑focused, and ready to be part of a caring and professional team, we’d love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
