Business Development Manager (Partnerships & Growth) If you’re a people-person with energy, warmth and drive, you’ll thrive here We’re Techskill Academy (part of EFLR group), a Queensland RTO that’s genuinely passionate about helping people build real careers. We work with employers, schools, apprentices and trainees across the state, and we’re now looking for a Business Development Manager who’s equal parts enthusiastic, caring, and proactive. If you love meeting people, building relationships, and doing work that genuinely helps others, this is your next move. About the Role This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being out and about and doesn’t want a job that feels repetitive or corporate. You’ll be connecting with employers, visiting worksites, chatting with principals and career advisors, attending school events, and turning conversations into meaningful partnerships. You’ll be the face of our funded apprenticeship and traineeship programs , helping businesses grow their teams and supporting people into jobs that set them up for life. Your days will include: Building warm, long-lasting relationships with employers, schools and community partners Identifying apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities (construction/landscaping focused) Conducting Employer Resource Assessments & Training Plans — confidently and professionally Working closely with our compliance and assessor teams to ensure smooth, audit-ready enrolments Representing Techskill Academy at events, expos and school visits Staying organised and consistent using our HubSpot CRM Bringing ideas, energy and genuine care to a supportive team Who This Role Suits You’ll do well here if you’re someone who: Loves connecting with people and building trust quickly Can juggle conversations, follow-ups and site visits without dropping the ball Is warm, confident, and naturally nurturing Has strong communication skills and presents well Enjoys helping others succeed and making a real impact Has a driver’s licence and a reliable car (Nice to have) Experience in VET, apprenticeships, employment services, or working with tradies Bonus Points For Experience with Skills Assure funding / DESBT programs Industry networks in construction, landscaping, education or community engagement Previous experience in an RTO or workforce development role What You’ll Get $90K base + super + uncapped commissions (OTE around $190K) A hybrid week: field work, office days, and an admin-from-home day Discounted onsite parking Laptop + everything you need to hit the ground running A supportive team that values initiative, hustle and heart A role where your personality and people skills truly matter If you’re a go-getter with a warm personality and you love building relationships that make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.
