Network Engineer Level 2

Overview Please respond to the job if you are an Australian Citizen and residing in Australia and have an NV1 Clearance with an ability to obtain and maintain NV2 Clearance. Contract start to , 2 x 12 months extensions. Australian Citizen, NV1 with ability to obtain NV2 Clearance, Canberra role. Specific criteria ITIL Service Framework certification. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) vendor certification, or higher. An unrestricted ability to deploy to ADF military installations in support of constructive training events. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with technical peers and frontline IT leadership. Demonstrated ability to conduct his or herself in a manner reflective of ADF values. Minimum 2-5 years network industry IT experience, military experience or combination of the two. Alternatively, higher education sector accreditation at minimum advanced diploma level qualifications in a closely related discipline. Personal Qualities and Experience Demonstrates an understanding of the relationship between his or her responsibilities and JCTB objectives. Demonstrates rigour and diligence in technical troubleshooting. Demonstrates a strong commitment to professionalism and team objectives Behaves honestly, ethically and always in the best interests of the Australian Government. Behaves responsibly with Defence equipment and resources. Values and fosters effective workplace relationships with peers and leaders. Respects the role of leadership. Acts proactively and independently to maintain relevant skills, mentor colleagues and/or propose innovative workplace solutions for the benefit of JCTB. Security Prerequisite It is a prerequisite that the Network Engineer hold an NV2 Security Clearance. This requirement may be waived if the candidate holds NV1 and is deemed suitable to apply for NV2, as per AGSVA eligibility guidelines.
