Overview Business Development Manager – Valves & Controls Perth, WA Our client is one of Australia’s largest and most respected valve & control suppliers. They supply valves, support routine maintenance programs, and provide expert advice for large-scale capital projects across industrial, infrastructure, and mining sectors. The Role Covering the Perth market, you’ll be the driving force behind business growth, promoting a premium range of products including Control Valves, Filters, Valve Accessories, Fittings, and Mechanical Equipment to clients across WA. You’ll work closely with EPC companies, consultancies, and end users, managing everything from project sales and supply agreements to transactional orders - all while backed by a knowledgeable Senior BDM and a hands-on Director. Your Mission Generate new business with a strong “hunter” mindset through networking, cold calling, and lead follow-up. Build and maintain relationships with EPCs, end users, and consultancies. Manage the full sales cycle including RFQs, tenders, proposals, and contracts. Provide technical, product, and sales support throughout the process. Stay on top of market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities. Liaise with internal technical teams to ensure customer needs are met. Step in to support internal sales when required. What You Bring Proven experience in business development, within valves, controls, or a related technical/industrial product. Strong relationship-building skills and commercial acumen. Ability to communicate confidently with technical, engineering, and operational teams. Proactive and driven with a track record of winning new business.
