Role overview Help manage a range of clients operating across technology, FMCG, retail, property and consumer lifestyle sectors. This role owns the implementation of accounts, setting and managing deadlines and delivering best practice work across PR and influencer streams that drives client satisfaction. Delegate effectively to junior team and manage up to assist senior team. You’re a person who is all about results and coming up with creative ways to exceed client expectations. Media Relations Has a strong understanding of the media in Australia and how to strategically get results, delivering strong coverage every single time and being able to change plans when results aren’t coming. Has a deep understanding of the media, a black book of strong contacts and experience on how to optimise conditions (when to pitch, how etc) to get the best result Produces media materials free of errors quickly, which are welcomed by the client and media every single time Proofs and provides feedback on juniors’ work tasks, ensuring all work delivered to the final approver is 100% accurate and formatted Develops considered and creative media strategies that target multiple verticals with multiple angles Can turn on a dime and pitch an alternative angle to a journalist to secure coverage Drives consistent high quality coverage by leveraging relationships and showing creativity and tenacity Develops and delivers strong media events that drive coverage and client satisfaction Influencer Understanding how influencer fits within a client’s account and being able to assist in the delivery of success here. Understands the role of influencer and social in communications and how it can benefit a client, Draft and send outreach emails to influencers and talent managers Track responses and manage influencer communications including negotiating deliverables, timelines, and budgets. Draft briefing documents for influencers clearly setting out campaign objectives, messaging, and guidelines. Act as key day-to-day contact for influencers and their agents/managers. Manage influencer deliverables from concept through to execution Review influencer content for quality, messaging alignment, and compliance Resolve issues or discrepancies with influencers/talent promptly Update campaign trackers and timelines Assist with setting KPIs and measure influencer campaign performance Track campaign budgets and influencer payments Client & Account Management Is every client’s go-to, demonstrating a strong commitment to and understanding of their business, while leading the implementation team to drive fantastic results. Owns implementation, clearly articulating what needs to be done on clients to the team, determining priorities effectively, and assigning and monitoring deadlines Is respected and valued by each client, with the client feeling no difference with the management of tasks during the absence of a senior team member Leads WIP meetings with confidence and insight Can drive influence through written communications by articulating sound rationale for recommendations Develops strong reporting functions, monitoring results at all times and working with the team to solve issues Writes compelling briefs to suppliers that clearly articulate what needs to be done, why, when and for how much Mentors PR Executives and Coordinators and other juniors and manages up to anticipate senior team requests Considers efficient ways of working and identifies inefficiencies to reduce over servicing Understands client scope and flags issues in advance Manages timelines and action lists on collaborative Bastion Agency timelines, ensuring all activity across the blended team is progressing Business Development Building commercial acumen and grow clients organically through problem solving. Understands all of our services and those across the wider agency in order to identify where a Bastion solution may assist a client Listening and identifying client problems, headaches and challenges and bringing them back to the senior team member to find a solution Contributes insights and ideas to build client strategies that get results Understands the account strategy and oversees its effective and efficient implementation Understands the role of paid, owned and earned What You’ll Bring Minimum 3-4 years in PR or Communications, underpinned by a degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or PR.
