Principal Consultant, Communications Join to apply for the Principal Consultant, Communications role at QUT (Queensland University of Technology). Remuneration: $158,080 to $165,606 pa (HEW9) – inclusive of $133,579 to $139,939 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading. Reference number: 25658 Term: Ongoing, full‑time basis Who are we looking for? We are seeking a Principal Consultant, Communications to join Digital Business Solutions, Administrative Division. The role will develop and implement comprehensive internal communication strategies, working closely with the Associate Director, Digital Business Operations and other key stakeholders to deliver information about departmental goals, initiatives, and changes. Core responsibilities include creating engaging content for a variety of internal communication channels, leading regular communication meetings, and managing special projects. The role monitors and measures the impact of internal communications, adjusting strategies for maximum effectiveness across the department, and supports employee engagement and crisis/change management communications. What You Need To Succeed Postgraduate-level education, training, or extensive experience in a Communications Lead role. Demonstrated excellence in strategic and workload planning, using communication to align and inform staff of organisational objectives. High‑level verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to consult, liaise and deliver critical points clearly to multiple stakeholder groups at all levels. Ability to develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies and plans, along with resources, tools and processes to support their implementation and measure success. Team‑oriented, with proven ability to build relationships, collaborate, negotiate, influence and gain stakeholder commitment to achieve outcomes. Strong digital literacy skills and experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Office 365 (personal and enterprise productivity suites).
