Upper Hunter Automotive is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Workshop Foreman to lead our busy multi‑franchise service team representing Ford, Kia, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Holden Service and ARB 4x4 Accessories. Remuneration negotiable depending on experience. About the Role As the Workshop Foreman, you will play a key leadership role in our service department, ensuring the smooth daily operation of the workshop including job allocation, workflow management, quality control and technician support. Key Responsibilities Allocate jobs and manage daily workflow to maximise productivity Oversee and support technicians with diagnostics and complex repairs Maintain quality control standards across all work completed Ensure safety, compliance and workshop presentation Provide technical guidance and training to apprentice and qualified technicians Work closely with the Service Manager and Service Advisors Assist with road testing, problem diagnosis and escalated technical issues Maintain clear communication between workshop and front‑of‑house teams About You We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and leads by example. You will have: Trade qualification as a Motor Mechanic / Automotive Technician Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills Previous foreman or workshop controller experience (preferred but not essential) Ability to lead, motivate and support a team Excellent communication and organisational skills A commitment to quality workmanship and customer service Valid driver’s license (manual essential) Why Join Upper Hunter Automotive?
