About the Company An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and driven safety and quality specialist to join a leading manufacturing organisation based in the southeast of Melbourne. This role plays a pivotal part in developing, implementing, and maintaining systems that ensure safety, quality, and environmental excellence across all operations. About the Role The quality and safety specialist will play a key role in leading and maintaining effective environmental, health, safety, and quality systems across the organisation. This position is responsible for embedding a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and local regulations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves conducting audits and risk assessments, monitoring performance metrics, managing chemical safety compliance, coordinating Return to Work programs, and engaging with contractors and internal teams to uphold best practices in EHSQ management. Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, or a related discipline. Demonstrated experience in EHS or Quality roles within manufacturing, ideally in a chemicals or industrial environment. In‑depth understanding of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001, with a proven track record in audits and compliance. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS management systems. RTW coordination/management certification and prior experience in chemical handling will be highly regarded.
