Job Title: Workshop Lead at Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd Location: Lytton, Queensland, Australia Overview Join us as a Workshop Lead, where you will plan, coordinate, and oversee workshop activities that support vessel maintenance, refit preparation, upgrades, and modifications to vessels and their equipment. You’ll guide and support a small team of tradespeople providing coaching, training and technical expertise while actively participating in work activities and demonstrating trade excellence. Responsibilities Plan, coordinate and oversee workshop activities supporting vessel maintenance, refit preparation, upgrades and modifications. Guide and support a small team of tradespeople, providing coaching, training and technical expertise while actively participating in work activities. Ensure workshop activities are planned, coordinated and delivered safely, efficiently and cost-effective. Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving to keep operations running smoothly. Utilise computerized maintenance management systems (such as MEX or SAP) and other digital tools. Qualifications Trade-qualified (preferably boilermaker / mechanical fitter) with hands‑on supervisory experience. Solid maintenance experience, understanding of relevant materials and classifications; interest in expanding knowledge of the maritime industry. Committed to safety and wellbeing—fostering a culture where safety comes first. Strong attention to detail, able to juggle multiple priorities and keep everything on track.
