Senior Lecturer – Co Director of Medical Education (South West Sydney Clinical Campus) UNSW Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia Job type: Part-time (17.5 hours per week) – ContinuingRemuneration: $155k – $178k base prorated, plus clinical loading, 17% superannuation and leave loadingWork rights required: Full Australian work‑rights only – no visa sponsorshipLocation: Bankstown Hospital, Sydney About the Campus The South West Sydney Clinical Campuses are UNSW’s hubs at Liverpool, Bankstown, Campbelltown, Fairfield and Braeside. They partner with local clinical facilities and the Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research to enhance educational and research opportunities for students and staff. The campus hosts a state‑of‑the‑art Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre. Opportunity As Co‑Director of Medical Student Education at the South West Sydney Clinical School you will support the Teaching Team and assist the Head of Clinical Campus with the development and administration of Phase 2 teaching programmes. Responsibilities include providing clinical support to teaching administration staff, orienting new students, coordinating Phase 2 programmes and examinations. The role reports directly to the South West Sydney Head of Clinical Campus and has no direct reports. Skills and Experience Degree and/or PhD in a relevant field (e.g. MBBS or MD) with Australian medical registration or relevant work experience Possession of a Fellowship from a relevant medical college Commitment to staying current with academic and clinical developments Experience in teaching and learning design, including development and delivery of undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses and programmes Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence Record of curriculum development and improvement Ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and contribute to equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives Track record in high‑impact research and potential for research leadership Benefits and Culture Flexible working arrangements Additional three days of leave over the Christmas period Access to lifelong learning and career development opportunities Progressive human‑resources practices How to Apply Please click the “Apply now” button to submit an online application.
