About the Role As the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities, you will play a vital role in ensuring the school's facilities and grounds are maintained to a high standard, supporting a safe and engaging learning environment. You will report to the Principal, Business Manager, or nominated delegate and perform a variety of routine tasks with regular supervision for non‑routine duties. Key Responsibilities Maintaining school grounds, including mowing, watering, soil care, and general garden and lawn maintenance. Performing general repairs and maintenance of facilities, furniture, and equipment, including swimming pools and outdoor sporting facilities. Supporting security duties such as locking and unlocking buildings and maintaining security systems. Assisting with event preparations, including arranging furniture and managing waste disposal. Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, including safe storage and handling of chemicals and equipment maintenance. About You Traits that would be beneficial Experience in groundskeeping, facilities maintenance, or similar roles. Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices and procedures. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong organisational and time‑management skills. Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
