About The Role As the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities, you will play a vital role in ensuring the school's facilities and grounds are maintained to a high standard, supporting a safe and engaging learning environment. Reporting to the Principal, Business Manager, or nominated delegate, you will perform a variety of tasks that are routine in nature, with regular supervision for non‑routine duties. Key Responsibilities Maintain school grounds, including mowing, watering, and soil care, as well as garden and lawn maintenance. Perform general repairs and maintenance of facilities, furniture, and equipment, including swimming pools and outdoor sporting facilities. Support security duties such as locking and unlocking buildings and maintaining security systems. Assist with event preparations, including arranging furniture and managing waste disposal. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, including safe storage and handling of chemicals and equipment maintenance. About You Experience in groundskeeping, facilities maintenance, or similar roles. Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices and procedures. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong organisational and time‑management skills. Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
