Company Description We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Executive to join our team at Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort & Convention Centre Our resort features over 370 rooms, a refreshing pool, and a vibrant lagoon for water activities, all paired with exceptional dining options to create unforgettable guest experiences. Our purpose‑built Convention Centre can accommodate up to 1,500 guests, providing extensive hospitality and accommodation options for business conventions, exhibitions, and a variety of events. As part of the esteemed Accor Group, you will be instrumental in our dedication to outstanding service and creating memorable experiences for our guests. Job Description Are you passionate about driving revenue in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) sector? We’re seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to implement proactive sales strategies targeting the corporate segment and MICE business group for our landmark property, alongside handling reactive sales to ensure swift conversion of incoming inquiries. Your Responsibilities Develop and execute a personal sales plan with regular follow‑ups to adapt to market needs. Conduct market research to uncover new MICE opportunities and provide valuable market intelligence to the Director of Sales. Collaborate with Accor National Sales & MICE teams to maximise access to key accounts. Create and implement effective sales strategies for the conference segment and build relationships with conference and incentive companies to secure new business. Represent the hotel at key industry events for maximum ROI. Maintain a deep understanding of our offerings and pricing to achieve business objectives. Strengthen existing client relationships to ensure retention and growth. Qualifications Demonstrated success in sales within the hospitality industry, with a focus on events. Consistent track record of surpassing sales targets, showcasing exceptional negotiation and selling abilities. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, adept at building rapport and delivering impactful presentations to clients. Strong analytical capabilities to evaluate market trends and identify lucrative business opportunities. Results‑driven professional with a proven ability to achieve sales goals and meet portfolio KPIs. Familiarity with Opera and Delphi is a plus. Why work for Accor?
