Operations Consultant - Property Management Macquarie Park, NSW (Hybrid: 3 days office, 2 days WFH) 3-month contract, with option to extend up to 6 months Day rate: Competitive, depending on experience About Rentnest Rentnest is reimagining property management for investors, transparent, tech-driven, and built to scale. It’s the property management arm of Search Property, created so clients get the same level of care and clarity they already trust us for, carried through into the long term. We’ve rebuilt the traditional PM model around service, transparency, and results. Relationship Managers focus on landlords, Senior Property Managers handle everything on the ground, and our operations function ties it all together. Rentnest is now in its build phase and preparing for launch. The Role We’re looking for an experienced Operations Consultant to lead Rentnest’s setup phase. You’ll be building the operational backbone of the brand from scratch, mapping workflows, designing processes, and ensuring everything is compliant across multiple states. We’re starting in WA and have already hired two Senior Property Managers who begin in January, so this role will focus first on building a WA-ready operating model, then expanding and replicating it nationally. This role suits someone who has done this before, knows how to build structure quickly, and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work directly with the Founder and the wider Search Property Group to get Rentnest ready for early-2026 rollout. What You’ll Do Build Rentnest’s national operating model from the ground up, starting with WA Design workflows for leasing, maintenance, arrears, inspections, renewals, and compliance Create scalable systems, processes, and SOPs aligned with legislation Oversee compliance setup across multiple states including bonds, notices, leases and AML/KYC Work with Relationship Managers, Senior Property Managers, and tech specialists to streamline workflows and automation Produce all final documentation including templates, checklists, service standards, and the Rentnest operations manual Build reporting frameworks for arrears, client satisfaction, occupancy, and turnaround times Advise on team structure, recruitment needs, and onboarding as Rentnest scales Align operational processes with the Rentnest platform (no coding required) What You’ll Bring 5+ years in property management operations or real estate leadership Experience building systems and processes at scale Strong understanding of compliance and multi-state requirements Able to work at pace and bring structure to a blank slate Tech-savvy, with experience using SaaS platforms to manage operations Comfortable working directly with founders and senior leadership Hands‑on, practical, and able to document everything clearly Why You’ll Love Working With Us High‑impact contract role where you architect a national PM operation Work closely with the Founder and leadership team Shape systems, processes, and foundations from the ground up Competitive contractor day rate depending on experience Apply If you’re keen to help build Rentnest from the ground up, send your CV and a short note to *****@searchproperty.com.au #J-18808-Ljbffr
