Reporting to the Construction Operations Manager, Pacific Marine Group Pty Ltd is looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Construction Project Manager to lead marine construction projects in both national (East Coast) and international locations within the Pacific Region. With responsibility for planning, coordination, and control of the project, you will work with internal and international teams as well as clients to ensure a high‑quality outcome in line with contractual objectives and project scope. This role requires on‑site work and the ability to travel for extended periods. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of methodologies, financial calculations, and documentation associated with assembling quotes/tenders as assigned Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the Operations Manager and department managers to support project planning and resourcing Ensure all project‑related purchasing is ordered timely and efficiently in accordance with the PMG purchasing policy Handle all contract administration and management appropriately and efficiently Provide technical advice and leadership throughout the project’s preparation, delivery, and post‑project periods to ensure contractual requirements are met to an acceptable business standard Provide accurate and timely budget information for project expenditure Effectively liaise with the Contracts Manager and relevant department managers for project planning and resourcing Liaise with client representatives on site and throughout project preparation & reporting phases Communicate project progression effectively to the Contracts Manager Coordinate with engineers and other professional or trade workers and assess design, drawings, and specifications Liaise with the Safety/QA Manager as required Participate in developing safe and environmental work procedures Participate in health, safety, and environment training Report all incidents and injuries, use equipment safely and properly including PPE Follow safety and environmental procedures at all times Liaise with HR & Training Advisor to ensure project‑specific training needs are achieved Actively participate in PMG’s performance review and development process Communicate effectively at all times to ensure the correct message reaches its intended audience in a timely manner Review project results against objectives to assess profitability and identify improvement areas Ensure all project activities comply with relevant legislation Ensure all documentation is compliant with the Company QA system Understand and comply with all Company policies and procedures Candidate Requirements Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Project Management (mandatory) Minimum two (2) years’ experience in the marine industry (mandatory) Strong background in project management with a high logistics or support services component Experience leading and managing multi‑disciplined project work Piling experience (Desirable) Tender management or experience (Desirable) A confident communicator with outstanding time management and organisational skills Approach focused on the safety and quality of work completed The successful candidate must have full and current Australian working rights or appropriate visa requirements. Candidates will be subject to drug and alcohol testing and may be required to undergo a medical and/or police check.
