About the Role: We’re looking for a hands‑on and proactive Facilities & Maintenance Lead to ensure our 4,000 m² facility—comprising a mechanical workshop, wet chemical lab, measurement lab, and clean room—remains safe, organised and running smoothly. In this role, you'll report to the VP of Technology Delivery and lead a small team, including one direct report. You’ll be responsible for a wide range of practical tasks including basic repairs, small rig builds, clean‑room maintenance (such as exhaust and AC systems), occasional forklift operation, and minor plumbing and electrical work. You’ll also oversee goods storage and assist with the installation of new equipment. This role also involves coordinating with contractors, managing chemical disposal safely, and providing hands‑on support across the site. It’s ideal for someone who takes pride in facility ownership and enjoys improving systems to support smooth daily operations. You will focus on: Proactively identifying and addressing maintenance needs to keep the facility running smoothly. Continuously improving the facility’s organisation and efficiency. Leading hands‑on facility operations, supervising one direct report (Maintenance Technician) and coordinating with external contractors. Maintaining clean‑room facilities, including exhaust and AC systems. Performing basic mechanical and electrical tasks, escalating to specialists when needed. Supporting chemical disposal processes and coordinating work with external contractors. Managing and organising goods, spare parts, and storage areas. We would love you to have: Previous experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or a similar hands‑on technical role. Licensed electrician (preferable), with the ability to perform basic electrical work. Familiarity with manufacturing floors, labs, or cleanroom environments. Some experience in stores/inventory management, and a forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one). Strong sense of ownership and pride in your craft. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
