About the Role:We’re looking for a hands‑on and proactive Facilities & Maintenance Lead to ensure our 4,000 m² facility—comprising a mechanical workshop, wet chemical lab, measurement lab, and clean room—remains safe, organised, and running smoothly. In this role, you'll report to the VP of Technology Delivery and lead a small team, including one direct report. You’ll be responsible for a wide range of practical tasks including basic repairs, small rig builds, clean‑room maintenance (such as exhaust and AC systems), occasional forklift operation, and minor plumbing and electrical work. You’ll also oversee goods storage and assist with the installation of new equipment. This role also involves coordinating with contractors, managing chemical disposal safely, and providing hands‑on support across the site. It’s ideal for someone who takes pride in facility ownership and enjoys improving systems to support smooth daily operations. Key Responsibilities Proactively identify and address maintenance needs to keep the facility running smoothly. Continuously improve the facility’s organisation and efficiency. Lead hands‑on facility operations, supervise one direct report (Maintenance Technician) and coordinate with external contractors. Maintain clean‑room facilities, including exhaust and AC systems. Perform basic mechanical and electrical tasks, escalating to specialists when needed. Support chemical disposal processes and coordinate work with external contractors. Manage and organise goods, spare parts, and storage areas. Desired Experience & Skills Previous experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or a similar hands‑on technical role. Licensed electrician (preferable), with the ability to perform basic electrical work. Familiarity with manufacturing floors, labs, or clean‑room environments. Some experience in stores/inventory management, and a forklift license (or willingness to obtain one). Strong sense of ownership and pride in your craft.
