Public Transport Authority of Western Australia – East Perth WA 11h ago , from Western Australia Government Join our People & Organisational Development Division at the Public Transport Authority for an exciting and permanent opportunity that you won't want to miss The primary responsibility of this role is to assist in the coordination of the Public Transport Authority’s (PTA) workers compensation and injury management processes in line with statutory requirements for employees of the PTA. This includes managing injury claims from initial reporting through to resolution, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and promptly. The role involves liaising with medical professionals, insurance companies, and other key stakeholders to facilitate timely and effective return to work for injured employees. Additionally, the position requires monitoring the progress of employees’ rehabilitation, implementing return-to-work programs, and providing support to both employees and supervisors throughout the recovery process. Our goal is to minimise the impact of work-related injury/illness and enable employees to have a timely, safe, and durable return to work. About You To excel in this role, you should possess: In-depth understanding of Western Australian legislative requirements, as well as administrative procedures and practices related to workers' compensation and rehabilitation. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively and provide appropriate advice to clients and users. Proven capability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent research, conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Effective organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work methodically, maintain a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy, and meet deadlines. Advanced keyboard and computer skills, with proficient use of relevant software packages, including Objective and Solv.
