About the role The Operational Policy Branch is responsible for the development and management of all Corrective Services’ operational policies and procedures for prisons and youth detention centres in accordance with the Department’s strategic platforms and policies. The positions contribute to the achievements of the Operational Policy branch throught the delivery of effective business services and relationship management, working collaboratively with other business areas and with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders The Project Officer is responsible for assisting the development, review and implementation of Corrective Services’ operational policies and procedures to promote the work of the Operational Policy Branch. The position coordinates responses to research and analysis to support best practice and the dissemination of operational instruments to enable the implementation of change. The Senior Project Officer undertakes a key role in the development, review and implementation of Corrective Services operational policies and procedures for prisons and youth detention centres. This position is also required to evaluate national and international research findings to formulate best practice operating procedures for the Department. Eligibility To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.
