As we lift DairyNZ’s digital and data capability, we’re looking for an experienced Data Strategy Transformation Manager to lead the implementation of our enterprise Data Strategy. This is a pivotal role that will shape how data is used as a strategic asset across the organisation, improving decision‑making, strengthening governance, and enabling better outcomes for farmers. About the role Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, you’ll lead a coordinated programme of transformation that turns strategy into action. In this role, you will : Deliver a clear, phased roadmap that brings DairyNZ’s Data Strategy to life. Establish and embed an enterprise data operating model and connected data ecosystem. Lift organisational data literacy and drive cultural change to embed confident, consistent use of data. Strengthen governance, ethics, privacy, and trusted data practices. Partner with leaders, technical teams, and business units to realise measurable value and impact. Champion modern data and digital practices, including AI‑readiness and advanced analytics. About you You are an experienced transformation leader who can connect strategy, people, and delivery. You bring credibility, strong relationship skills, and a passion for helping organisations use data well. You’ll have 7+ years’ experience leading data or digital transformation in complex organisations. Proven success implementing data strategies, governance frameworks, or enterprise capability uplift. The ability to influence and engage senior leaders and Boards. Excellent communication and storytelling skills, able to turn complexity into clarity. Experience navigating change at scale and building strong cross‑functional relationships. An understanding of responsible data use, data ethics, and AI/digital trends. A tertiary qualification is required; postgraduate study in digital transformation, data, or business leadership is an advantage. Why DairyNZ?
