Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Officer to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and a passion for ensuring accurate and timely billing and collections. The Accounts Receivable Officer will play a critical role in maintaining positive customer relationships while ensuring that financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities Monitor accounts receivable aging reports, ensuring timely follow‑up and resolution of overdue accounts Daily bank reconciliation and receipt of invoices Researching and investigating discrepancies in invoices to determine the accuracy of charges Liaise with customers to address billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies Analyze accounts receivable data and prepare reports on collections, aging, and customer trends for management Maintain accurate customer records and ensure all transactions are recorded in the accounting software Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing processes by providing necessary documentation and reports Support the finance team in ad‑hoc projects and improve accounts receivable processes as needed Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations regarding accounts receivable Skills and Requirements Strong understanding of accounts receivable and general accounting principles Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, Dynamics) and Microsoft Excel Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with keen attention to detail Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workloads efficiently Customer service orientation with strong negotiation skills High level use of Microsoft Excel (including formulas such as VLOOKUP or SUMIFS) Qualifications 1‑3 years of experience in accounts receivable or similar finance role Solid understanding of financial reporting and accounts reconciliation processes Knowledge of Australian tax obligations, including GST, is advantageous Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment What We Offer Competitive base salary plus super Opportunities for training and professional development Fortnightly pay General Info Head office based in Vermont, Melbourne Core hours 8:00AM - 4:00PM Trescal is an Equal Opportunity Employer who values its employees.
