Maintenance Manager

Are you an experienced and technically skilled leader with expertise in industrial maintenance, plant efficiency, and uptime maximization ? We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Manager to oversee the technical operations of our laundry production facility, ensuring all machinery and equipment function reliably, safely, and efficiently. This is a critical leadership role responsible for the end-to-end maintenance process , focused on achieving the highest standards of safety, machine reliability, and cost‑effective continuous improvement within a high‑volume production environment. Responsibilities Plant & Equipment Management: Managing and overseeing the maintenance, repair, and optimal function of all laundry production machinery (washers, dryers, ironers, garment processing, etc.) to minimize downtime and meet production targets. Safety & Compliance: Ensuring that safety processes and procedures related to equipment use, repair, and facility maintenance are rigorously followed, and all relevant technical regulations and standards are complied with (e.g., AS 4146 accreditation standards related to the commercial laundry process). Performance Monitoring: Daily input and monitoring of critical performance reports, including metrics related to machine uptime, repair costs, and preventive maintenance schedules. Driving continuous improvement to enhance machine efficiency and reduce costs ($/Kg). Maintenance Workflow: Developing and managing the schedule and subcontractor management when required. Stakeholder Communication: Maintaining strong, open communication and collaborative relationships with the Production Manager and Service Delivery Manager to prioritize repairs and ensure seamless operational support. Inventory & Budget: Managing the maintenance budget, spare parts inventory, and relationships with third‑party vendors for specialized repairs and parts procurement. What You'll Bring Experience: Proven relevant experience in industrial maintenance management, ideally within a high‑volume production environment (laundry, manufacturing, or similar). Minimum Experience: A minimum of 5 + years of experience in industrial maintenance management roles is required. Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems common in industrial equipment. Qualifications: Electrical trade certification is required to support the technical maintenance responsibilities. Leadership: Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build and maintain strong, positive relationships with employees, production staff, and third‑party vendors. Operational Focus: A strong ability to communicate clearly and proficiently with all parties to resolve technical requests and concerns quickly, minimizing operational impact. Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft products is essential for reporting and scheduling. Work Eligibility: Australian work rights are required for this position.
