Engineering Manager – Responsibilities Lead all engineering, maintenance, and utility operations at the site, including capital planning and execution, maintenance reliability, energy management, process automation, utility operations, site security, and facilities management. Support technical projects such as continuous improvement and technical transfers. Contribute to strategic initiatives as part of the Site Leadership team to achieve objectives for safety, quality, compliance, supply, and continuous improvement. Develop and manage capital investment plans and budgets to meet site strategies; prepare capital project applications. Ensure capital projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to required quality standards. Develop and implement plant maintenance policies and procedures; establish an effective reliability maintenance program to ensure high availability of critical equipment. Manage operation of utilities, including wastewater treatment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations in compliance with regulations. Drive site sustainability by managing resource, material, and energy consumption. Oversee site facilities, including building maintenance, site security, gardening, pest control, and other services; ensure compliance with GMP, Zoetis Quality Systems, EHS SOPs, and EHS regulations. Promote use of operational excellence tools to maintain competitive advantage in the industry. Develop engineering team capabilities through individual development plans and on‑the‑job training. Prepare department budgets and control engineering expenditures within approved budgets. Provide on‑site leadership and support for colleagues reporting to the Global Manufacturing Technology function. Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement projects. Assist with new product introductions and transfers from other manufacturing sites. Engineering Manager – Qualifications Minimum Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree. Minimum 10 years of professional engineering experience and team leadership in manufacturing sites, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Solid knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice. Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and partnership-building skills with business and technical stakeholders at all levels. Highly organized, able to prioritize tasks and complete multiple simultaneous projects by deadlines. Highly analytical with strong attention to detail. Strong decision‑making ability and exceptional communication skills, able to present complex information simply. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop team members and achieve optimal team performance. Experience in project engineering and project management.
