The Opportunity As Engineering Manager, you will lead and develop Kry10’s Sydney-based platform engineering team to deliver the Core OS roadmap and associated product outcomes. Reporting to the VP Engineering, this newly created position blends technical credibility with people leadership, ensuring engineering delivery is high-quality, scalable, and aligned to customer impact. You’ll bring a hands‑on approach to delivery and team performance, while driving continuous improvement in engineering practice and culture. Key Responsibilities Lead delivery of the Core OS roadmap from planning and resourcing through to execution, deployment, and support. Ensure engineering outcomes are aligned to customer priorities, timelines, and quality expectations. Provide technical leadership across embedded software, architecture, testing, DevOps and security practices. Mentor, develop and grow OS/embedded developers and verification experts. Build a high‑performing, values‑led team culture grounded in quality, accountability and collaboration. Drive continuous improvement across tooling, delivery cadence, and operational engineering processes. Partner closely with Product Development and key stakeholders, communicating progress, risks and trade‑offs clearly. Explore, understand, and inform Kry10’s adoption of technology and AI tools in the engineering space that lift productivity while maintaining security standards. About You You’re a confident engineering leader who thrives in complex, high-assurance environments. You balance strategic thinking with practical execution, and build teams that deliver high quality outcomes consistently. You will have: Proven experience leading and managing engineering teams, with strong technical credibility. Significant embedded software delivery experience across planning, build, test and deployment. Demonstrated capability in technical strategy, architecture, code quality and mentoring. Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, virtualisation and containerisation (e.g., Docker / Kubernetes). Strong stakeholder management skills and comfort balancing competing priorities. High personal accountability, clear communication, and strong problem‑solving capability. Preferred Experience leading multi‑location teams (remote/in‑person). Embedded IoT or industrial control systems background. Exposure to C, C++, Rust, Erlang or Elixir. Experience in security, high‑assurance systems and/or formal verification. Industry experience in defence, automotive, manufacturing, power grids or other mission‑critical domains.
