About the opportunity: As a Senior Support worker , you will take on responsibilities to make sure the overall care of the clients is being delivered. Be involved in the care planning process and assist care managers/coordinators in developing these. You will lead the team in day-to-day duties as per management instructions. Provide support to clients in areas such as, but not limited to, personal care, domestic assistance, social support, transport activity and meal prep, whilst always maintaining an appropriate professional manner. Lead the team in a professional, ethical way always. Key responsibilities: Personal Care: Provide assistance/standby assistance with daily self-care, such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, getting in and out of bed, moving around the house and/or medication prompting and assistance. Domestic Assistance: Provide assistance with domestic chores, including assistance with light cleaning, dishwashing and/or laundry. Meal preparation and assistance. Transport: To assist clients to/from appointments and/or social activities. Social Support: In home or outside the home to access community facilities. This service generally aims to maintain a client’s community connection and fulfil the need for social interaction. Team management: Manage performance of employees by setting standards and a maintaining consistent approach to expectations. Conduct regular discussions with employees to improve standards. Manage and document any non‑compliance. Enforce company policies and procedures. Assisting Team Leader: Assist the Team Leader in the day to day operations of the SIL home. Requirements: Certificate III or above in the Disability sector Minimum Certificate IV qualification in the Disability sector is required. Minimum 2+ years of SIL home Senior Support Worker experience is required. NDIS workers screening check WWCC Licence and access to a car on a regular basis #J-18808-Ljbffr
